First off, I'll say that this is very pretty! I love the background and how you used complimentary colors! Some things I'd say to improve on for the background would be adding more details- while the rocks/cement it good in the foreground, there needs to be something more in the background, since it's just a blank sky and takes up half the image. Adding even a few wispy clouds would tremendously add more depth and detail. If clouds aren't your forte, there's always birds or airplanes.

Another thing would be the shading and highlighting- while there is a lot of both, there's no clear place where the sun is coming from. Is it just about to set and behind the staircase? If so, why is there so much light on the person like the sun is above them?

One last little thing- the face and head looks a little odd. I know the facial features are more of the Akira art style, the features and head just look like too much is being shown for the position it's facing, if that makes sense.

All in all, this is a very pretty picture, and good job on this!
